How does PSD2 affect my online payments charged to my account?

In September 2019, a new form of payment has begun, defined in the regulations as a "Payment initiation service: a service that allows a payment order to be initiated at the request of the user of the payment service, with regard to a payment account open with another payment service provider". This service is also called Payment Initiation Service (PIS).

That is, this service may be used to pay on the Internet from your account, instead of using a card. At that moment, you will be sharing the account you have in Digital Banking with the third party so you may exclusively initiate a payment order (a transfer) with your authorisation. Due to this, at the moment of giving an order, a Unicaja Banco Digital Banking authorisation screen will appear, on which you will authorise that store to access your account to make the payment.

If you have any doubt at any time regarding granting authorisation, you may contact us on the telephone +34 952 076 263
