Why is it so important to have my mobile telephone registered in Digital Banking?

By having your mobile phone registered, we can send a One Time Password (OTP) to your telephone. This is an authentication factor (procedure that allows the payment service provider to check the identity of the user on a payment service or the validity of use of a certain payment instrument, including use of the user’s customised security credentials) used to validate that everything is performed with greater security.

If you have not provided us your telephone, among other operations, you may not perform external and internal transfers, shop on Internet... When the PSD2 comes into force, we will also use the code to authenticate you in access to Digital Banking, at least every 90 days.

Due to this, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you have your mobile updated in Digital Banking. If you already receive these SMS with codes, you do not need to do anything. If you have not updated your mobile telephone or do not remember it, we recommend you to go to your branch to tell them your mobile telephone number, as that formality, that is now a security measure, can only be done at Unicaja Banco branches.

And remember that another of the important aspects is having the UnicajaMóvil app installed on your mobile phone to be able to make purchases more securely, easily and quickly.
