Security Code or mobile Token
Unicaja Banco has developed a technically innovative solution in its fight against electronic fraud that enhances the security measures used when accessing UniVía. This solution allows you to easily and securely create a different password each time you identify yourself in UniVía or when authenticating significant operations, that is, those that require a two-step verification process.
With this security system, when the customer launches their previously-installed "Security Code" feature on their mobile telephone app, a random temporary code is generated. Its functionality is based on One-Time Password (OTP) generation systems.
Customers should keep the following points in mind in order to use this new security system:
- First of all, you must provide us with your mobile telephone number to perform transactions on UniVía, if you have not done so, please stop by your Unicaja branch to provide us with your mobile number.
- You need to install the UnicajaMovil App on your mobile device , which has the "Security Code" function among its many features.
- Once you have the UnicajaMovil App, , activate the Security Code application. To do this, log on to UniVía from a PC and select the following path: Features/Passwords/Security Code then follow the installation or activation instructions.
- There is a one-time installation process for the App which
- requires Internet access either through your telephone provider's service or WiFi.
- In order for the one-time password generation system to work properly, the time must be up-to-date on your mobile.
From this point on, each time you authenticate a significant transaction, you will be asked to enter a coordinate from your Coordinates Card, plus a security code. This code will be generated by running the application installed on your mobile phone and will only be valid for that one transaction. You also have the option to set up your UniVía account so that a Security Code is required to log into the service.
