Unicaja Key is a functionality that allows our customers' mobile phones to be linked robustly and thus confirm in a quicker way any operations done on the Digital Banking service and any purchases made at online stores.
When you enable Unicaja Key, you must have the latest version of the Unicaja application installed on the mobile phone you want to link, as well as the customer's identity document.
The mobile phone you wish to link must be equipped with a camera and/or NFC. In addition, if you wish to benefit from easier transaction confirmations it should also support biometrics (digital fingerprint or facial recognition). If the device is not equipped with biometrics, it can be operated with a signature PIN.
Unicaja Key is a free functionality with no cost at all for the customer.
Once you have logged into the Digital Banking service on your mobile device, go to "My Area" on the upper left-hand side and, once there, choose the "Security" > "Unicaja Key" option. Pressing this option initiates the secure device linking process.
When you establish the link using the identity document, each mobile device model has the NFC sensor in a different location: at the top, the bottom, the front or the back. You can try as many times as you need until it is found.
Reflections must be avoided when linking the mobile phone using the device's camera.
In addition, the mobile device's notifications must be enabled.
In some cases, Unicaja Key needs to perform a series of subsequent validations after enabling it to be able to benefit from all its functionalities.
If the mobile device is not linked with Unicaja Key, confirmation of any transactions done on the Digital Banking service and any purchases made at online stores will be done through one-time password (OTP) notifications received via SMS.
