The main fees of the Mastercard Youth Contactless Debit Card are as follows:
- Maintenance fee: €0 per year.
- Cash withdrawals at Unicaja Banco ATMs: €0.
- Cash withdrawals from ATMs belonging to other institutions in Spain, the Eurozone, Sweden and Romania: you will be charged what the institution owning the ATM charges Unicaja. This amount will be displayed on the ATM screen before making the transactions.
- You won't be charged for the first three cash withdrawals per month from ATMs in some parts of Spain.
- Cash withdrawals from ATMs outside Spain, the Eurozone, Sweden or Romania: 4.00% (minimum charge of €3.50).
- Transactions in currencies other than the euro: 3.95% of the transaction's amount according to the exchange rate obtained by the payment systems on the settlement date.
There are two options you can choose from:
If you have chosen Instant Activation before receiving your physical card in the application process, you can start using your card immediately after signing up for it for both online and over-the-counter purchases, as well as for cash withdrawals. In order to do so, you will have to add the card to the wallet of your choice (Apple Pay, Google Pay…). Once you receive the physical card, make at least one transaction that requires entering a PIN at ATMs or merchants in order to be able to use it.
On the contrary, if you have chosen to wait to activate your physical card, you can activate it on your Digital Banking service or by making any transaction that requires entering a PIN at ATMs or merchants once you receive it. Remember that with this option you will not be able to use the card until you have the physical card in your hands.
Simply log in to your Digital Banking service, select the card and access its Security Settings. From there, you can enable or disable both online purchases and international transactions.
Take it with you anywhere in the world. In order to use your card abroad, you just need to enable this option on your Digital Banking service.
If you travel to a country that uses the same currency, you will not be charged any fees when you make purchases. If you travel to a country having another currency, we refund you the fees of all over-the-counter purchases you make in any currency.
The foreign currency exchange rate fee is 3.95% for each transaction. This fee will be charged solely for transactions made with a foreign currency other than the euro and will be calculated as the product resulting from applying said fee to the transaction's amount. The exchange rate to be applied will be the rate obtained by Visa or Mastercard on the date the transaction is settled. In the case of over-the-counter purchases, this fee will be included by adding it to the amount of the purchase and will subsequently be refunded to your account.
You can sign up for a Unicaja youth debit card between the ages of 18 and 29 years and 9 months.
Yes, you can! Depending on the mobile device you have, you will be able to link it to the Unicaja Banco App, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay to make payments conveniently. And that's not all! You will also be able to link your card to your wearables and conveniently make payments with your watch, ring, keychain, etc.
When he/she turns 18, you can go to your branch and apply for a card.
EURO 6000 Plus is a benefits programme that offers discounts on purchases through refund bonuses or direct instant discounts.
