You have the possibility of using your card from the moment you sign up for it by adding it to the wallet of your choice. You can make purchases at brick and mortar stores, online merchants and make ATM cash withdrawals without waiting for the physical card's delivery! However, you can also decide to activate it when you receive it.

Your FIT Mastercard Card grants you credit to make purchases, withdraw cash or transfer your card's credit to your account. You will therefore always have money at hand whenever you need it anywhere in the world.

Includes travel insurance

Your card includes free travel assistance and accident insurance2 to ensure you are always protected. It is also equipped with contactless technology and an EMV chip to prevent fraudulent copies.

How can I pay for my purchases?

Split payment

Choose how to split the payment of your purchases and bills over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months³. The payments will be charged to your account on the first day of the month following that in which you made the purchase.

End-of-month payment

Any transactions you make amounting to less than €10 and credit cash withdrawals from ATMs will be accumulated on a monthly basis and charged to your account on the first day of the following month.

In order to subscribe a FIT Mastercard Card, you can go to any Unicaja branch or request further information using the form.

The FIT Mastercard Card's main fees

 

Card maintenance fee: €44.00 per year. You don't have to pay this fee if you make purchases and/or mobile phone reloads amounting to a cumulative total of €300 in a year. Cancelled transactions or reimbursements do not count.

 

Split payment fee: this fee is applied to the transaction's amount and varies depending on the term chosen: 2.50% for three months, 4.30% for six months, 6.00% for nine months and 7.70% for twelve months. Any transactions amounting to less than €10 will be charged at the end of the month. 

 

Credit cash withdrawal fee from ATMs with a FIT Mastercard Credit Card:

  • 4.50% (minimum charge of €4.00) of the amount withdrawn in transactions made at ATMs belonging to Unicaja Banco, S.A.
  • 4.50% (minimum charge of €4.00) plus 100% of whatever the owner of the ATM charges Unicaja for the withdrawal. In other words, a 4.50% fee will be charged (with a minimum charge of €4.00) of the amount withdrawn along with the amount the institution (other than Unicaja) that owns the ATM where the withdrawal is being made charges us for the use of its ATM in Spain, the Euro Zone, Sweden and Romania.
  • 5.00% (minimum charge of €5.00) of the amount withdrawn in other countries. In other words, a 5.00% fee will be charged (with a minimum charge of €5.00) of the amount withdrawn at institutions that are not in the Eurozone, Sweden or Romania.

 

Fee for foreign currency transactions other than the euro: 3.95%. This fee will be applied to the resulting euro countervalue amount of all foreign currency transactions (purchases and cash withdrawals) made with the card according to the exchange rate obtained by the payment systems on the date when the relevant settlement is made.

Frequently asked questions about Mastercard FIT

You have two possibilities:

 

If you choose instant activation, you can use the card for online purchases, over-the-counter payments at stores and cash withdrawals from the moment you sign up for it. You will need to add it to your favourite wallet, like Apple Pay or Google Pay, in order to start using it. Once you receive the physical card, make a transaction that requires entering the PIN in order to be able to use it.

 

If you prefer to activate the card when it is delivered, you can activate it on your Digital Banking service or by making a transaction that requires entering the PIN at a merchant or ATM once it is delivered to you. The card will not be available for use until then.

You just have to log in to your Digital Banking service, select the card and enter the "Settings" and "Security Settings" menu. There you will be able enable or disable both online purchases and transactions abroad.
